Compact XS Treadmill Details

The Weslo Compact XS is part of the latest 2009 model's of treadmill. With a 1.5 CHP (Continuous Horse Power) it produces a top speed of 12km/h and is able to handle a maximum user weight of 120kg. Offering great value for money this running machine. has manual incline feature it is possible to run on 2 different levels of incline 0 and 3%. This treadmill can be folded up into a compact space when it's not in use.

Treadmill Motor and Speed

As with all treadmills the power of the motor is paramount to the usage it is going to get. As a guide line you should never buy a motorised treadmill with less than 1.25 CHP (continuous horse power), unless you intend to use it for walking only. The Weslo Compact XS has a 1.5 CHP motor which more than powerful enough for a running machine. You will struggle to find a folding treadmill in the same price bracket that is able to offer you this kind of specification. Remember to look out for the difference between continuous horse power and peak horse power when selecting your treadmill. If you find the top speed of 12km/h is not fast enough for you then why not take a look at either the Weslo M6 Folding Treadmill or the Weslo SL Treadmill, both are capable of 16km/h, which is more than fast enough for most people.

Incline / Running Gradient

The gradient of the running machines deck together with the speed ultimately affect the difficulty of the exercise. Even a fast paced walk on a 7% incline for 10 minutes will burn off a decent number of calories, equivilant to running on flat for 10 minutes. So don't worry if you prefer to walk than run, you will still get fit!

The Weslo Compact XS has a manual incline system. This means you can adjust the incline when the treadmill is not in use by simply changing the height setting at the rear. If you would like to be able to adjust the incline whilst you are using it, then you need a treadmill with a motorised incline mechanism like the Weslo XL, which has a running gradient from 0-10%.

Warranty:

Standard warranty is 12 months parts and labour which is extended to 24 months once the warranty card and proof of purchase is completed and returned to manufacturer to validate warranty
