For a folding treadmill at this price the Proform 3.6 undoubtedly overtakes rival brand home treadmills with it's 1.75 CHP motor. When comparing motorised treadmills look for the two different measurements of a running machines motor power. There is CHP (continuous horse power) and peak horse power. The important measurement is the CHP, as this is the level the motor is able to operate at while in use. The CHP also impacts on the maximum user weight of running machines. Therefore the heavier the person, the more CHP they should look for together with the weight capacity of the running deck. This motor has a 5 year warranty and is capable of handling a maximum user wieght of 113kg. If 113kg user weight is not enough for you then take a look at the Proform 780ZLT, which has a 130kg max. user weight

The Proform 3.6 has a powered incline motor that goes from 0 – 10 percent in 0.5 increments which is ideal for a low impact walking workout. For the powerful walker a incline of 7 – 10 percent at a speed of 5 –6 kmph provides a high calorie burning work out. The walker looking for a more gentle work out could lower the incline to around 5 percent or just lower the speed and maintain the higher gradient. Depending on which muscles you want to target, using a high incline will focus more on the quads, where as a lower incline tends to target the calf’s.

Warranty:

Standard warranty is 12 months parts and labour which is extended to 24 months once the warranty card and proof of purchase is completed and returned to manufacturer to validate warranty
